About Event

The Awesome Ambitions 25th Anniversary Celebration is presented by Community America Credit Union and T-Mobile. Our Honorary Chairpersons are India Boulton and Lisa Ginter. Our Event Co-chairs are Debby Ballard and Tammy Edwards.  Cynthia Newsome is Founder and President of Awesome Ambitions; Angela Curry is Co-Founder.

This Silver Anniversary celebration is a red-carpet affair including a VIP reception, plus a program with performances by R&B singer, songwriter, Oleta Adams and legendary Jazz Saxophonist, Kirk Whalum. Our special guests that night will be the Awesome Ambitions alumnae from 1997 -2022.

This is a fundraiser to help fulfill our mission of helping teenage girls in the greater Kansas City area make positive choices and develop a plan in high school to realize their dreams and achieve their purpose in life.  In addition to selling tickets to the event, we will have a live auction with incredible trips, sports experiences and furniture. We’re also adding a new fun way for people to support our mission.

For the first time we are offering a $100 SILVER TICKET.  A limited number of Silver Tickets will be sold—increasing your chance to win  a spectacular 4-day vacation  in New Orleans valued at $3,400! The drawing will happen during the program and concert in  the Gem Theater on July 21;  but you do NOT have to be present to win.

To find out more incredible details about the trip and to buy your Silver Tickets, CLICK HERE. You’ll be taken to the page where you can buy your Silver Ticket for the GETAWAY of a lifetime!
